Here at the Richard Whiteley Theatre, we believe theatre is for everyone that wants to experience it. As we always have done, we make a real effort to ensure our events can be accessed by people of all types of disabilities.

Accessible Parking

Convenient parking spaces are available for Blue Badge holders. However, these are limited, so please contact the Box Office before the day of the event should you require one.

Wheelchair Access

There’s level access to the auditorium from the ground level, and the main entrance has level access from our car park close by. Inside, the auditorium has allocated wheelchair spaces with a space to the side of each for a companion. We also have an accessible toilet in the foyer.

Assistance Dogs

All assistance dogs are allowed in the auditorium. We offer aisle seats where possible, and if there’s content that may trigger your dog, we’ll let you know.

Hearing Enhancement

Portable infra-red hearing loops are available for those that are hard of hearing. Should you need one, please speak to a member of our team when you arrive, and we’ll be happy to sort you out.

If you have any queries, feel free to talk to one of our team, and we’ll do our utmost to assist you. Please click here to make an enquiry, and learn more about how you can contact us.
